President's Statement
Hello everyone,
My name is Anushree Kanodia, and I have the privilege of serving as President of the Macquarie United Nations Society in 2026. The Macquarie United Nations Society (MQUNSOC) is a student-led organisation dedicated to providing Macquarie University students and our members with meaningful opportunities to learn about international relations, engage with real-world global and domestic issues, and advocate for positive change.
Built on our three core pillars of Debate, Diplomacy and Development, we empower our members with practical skills that extend beyond university and into the real world. Our aim is to foster a well-connected and engaged student community across Australia that is passionate about international diplomacy and domestic affairs. Our commitment is to deliver high-quality events and initiatives that cultivate a connected, professional and engaged student body. We strive to showcase the talent of our members while equipping them with the confidence and skills needed to pursue their future careers and excel in competitive academic and professional environments. 2026 marks a significant milestone for our society.
We have expanded our executive team and introduced four dedicated subcommittees: Engagement, Education, Events and Publications, to broaden the scope and impact of our events and opportunities.
We invite you to be part of the rebranded MQUNSOC and join us in building a community defined by excellence, collaboration and meaningful impact.
